AmericasMart has opened the 2011 Icon Honors call for submissions for retailers, manufacturers, sales agents and service providers to compete for top recognition in the home and gift industry’s newest honors program. All entering the 2011 Icon Honors program will have the opportunity to submit in three categories (Innovation, Contribution, Achievement) atwww.americasmarticonhonors.com.

Notable in the 2011 Icon competition are newly structured honors recognizing Innovative Technology Applications, Eco-Friendly Product Packaging, Licensed Product Innovations and Sustainable Business Practices.

Submissions and nominations will be independently evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges from the retail, manufacturing and design communities. Winning entries will be announced at the Icon Honors 2011 Celebration in Atlanta on Thursday, July 14, 2011 during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

All submissions entered in competition for Innovation and Contribution Honors must be for programs conducted and completed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2010.
