Effective as of Feb. 1, 2011, the East Coast Tile family, encompassing 32 showroom/distribution locations under the Best Tile and Tile America umbrella in 10 states, will be the exclusive master distributor of all StonePeak Ceramics tile products on the East Coast.
East Coast Tile Group has signed an exclusive master distribution arrangement with StonePeak Ceramics in the Eastern United States. Under terms of this new agreement, which is effective immediately, East Coast Tile divisions Best Tile and Tile America will use their “expansive infrastructure and over 50 years of experience in the distribution of tile,” stone and allied products to supply commercial-grade porcelain tiles to customers and prospects in the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Made in America at StonePeak’s state-of-the-art facility with a strong commitment to produce sustainable, environmentally friendly porcelain tile, StonePeak porcelains offer Best Tile and Tile America customers tile materials produced with LEED-compliant recycled content and containing certified low-VOC by GreenGuard and GreenGuard for Children & Schools as well as a new technology, ACTIVE, that gives the tile air improving and antibacterial qualities, the company notes.
“StonePeak Ceramics is a recognized leader in the production of green, sustainable porcelain tile in the U.S.,” said Ben Mednick, Vice President of East Coast Tile. “It’s a brand that has proven to be very well received by the architectural and design communities. StonePeak specifically wanted to go to distribution with a large-scale wholesale supplier structured the way we are at East Coast Tile. For example, in addition to our wholesale and commercial distribution, we offer multiple showrooms with a strong team of sales representatives, which they believe is an optimal way to increase awareness and sales of the StonePeak brand. For us, this will be a great opportunity to offer porcelain tile with an Italian look and feel that is produced right here in the United States.”
