The Washington State Floor Covering Association (WSFCA) will be holding its second annual Northwest Market and Trade Show, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 9 at the Lynnwood Convention Center in Lynnwood, Wash.
"Part of our thought process is that it may be difficult for dealers to travel to Las Vegas in January, so we are trying to do a scaled-down version [near] Seattle," said Tim Thompson, co-chair of the committee putting the WSFCA event together and Washington sales manager of The Cronin Co. "There used to be a lot of regional markets around the country, but we've gotten away from that in the past five to 10 years."
The WSFCA has a total availability of 70 booths, with some companies taking more than one booth. At press time, Thompson said he was confident that the space would soon sell out. "Mohawk is in the show in a big way -- they have taken six different booths, with each booth showing a different [category] of Mohawk product in it," Thompson noted.
Other manufacturers include: Aladdin Commercial, American Olean, Burke Flooring, Congoleum, Corkart, Custom Building Products. Dansk Hardwood Floors, Forbo, Free Fit, Hickory Springs, James Hardie Building Products, Kronotex USA, RB Rubber Products, USG, Wicanders/Amorim. Distributors are set to include The Cronin Co., Kraus USA and Surface Art, a ceramic tile distributor. WSL, a freight and storage business, is also slated to attend.
The show is open to anyone in the trade, including manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and interested customers. For more information, visitwww.wsfca.orgor e-mail Debbie Tott, WSFCA's exec. director, atwsfca@comcast.net.
