The Long Island Floor Covering Association (LIFCA) will present a seminar on “Creating Business Harmony” Sept. 15 at Four Points by Sheraton in Plainview, NY.
Ed Abel, adjunct professor of entrepreneurial studies at New York University (NYU) will present the 90-minute seminar, which will focus on how successful business owners are consistently utilizing strategies, techniques, and practices that anyone can employ in their own business. Most importantly, they understand that they MUST see themselves as a businessperson who sells their skills (what Abel calls a “SkillPreneur”), rather than merely a person-for-hire. In this presentation, attendees will learn how to shift their mindset towards thinking like a savvy business owner who sells a service and away from the limited belief of a person-for-hire. Additionally, Abel will outline a step-by-step process and the action steps necessary to further enhance, develop, and grow any business.
The seminar is not specific to the flooring industry so all are welcome. The seminar will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Four Points by Sheraton is located at 333 South Service Road in Plainview, NY 11803. The cost is $25 for non-members; there is no charge to LIFCA members. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to LIFCA@optonline.net or (631) 569-5459.
