Payton-Engle tapped to head EcoTimber as CEO
Dale Payton-Engle has been named CEO of EcoTimber. He succeeds Lewis Buchner, who is leaving to pursue other interests. The change in leadership became effective on May 1, 2009 and follows a "continued growth strategy that includes emphasis on domestic wood sourcing, ramped-up production, and streamlining of the 17-year-old company’s supply chain," EcoTimber said.
"EcoTimber will be introducing a number of new items to its 100% FSC-certified product line in the near term and is uniquely positioned to benefit from the economic recovery as it continues to provide the highest quality, beautiful wood flooring with an authentic commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership – our mission since 1992," Payton-Engle said.
Payton-Engle previously held the positions of chief operations officer and chief financial officer since joining EcoTimber last year. His experience in branded consumer products includes both private equity middle-market portfolio companies as well as Fortune 500 companies, including Avery-Dennison and Quaker Oats.
In his work in middle-market companies, Payton-Engle focused on mergers and acquisitions, improving operational efficiency, and sales and marketing, particularly in companies that sell natural and organic foods.
