Armstrong to upgrade vinyl plant for $25 million
Armstrong said it will invest $25
million in its Lancaster, Pa., flooring plant to produce fiberglass-backed
sheet vinyl products. The move, which will create “the most technologically
advanced sheet vinyl manufacturing facility in the world,” represents
“Armstrong’s largest investment in sheet vinyl manufacturing in over 10 years,”
the company said.
“There will be a number of benefits that result from this investment,” said Allen Cubell, vp residential resilient sheet and tile for Armstrong. “Our supply chain will be shorter, allowing us to respond more quickly to customer requests. We will be able to develop new products not currently in the marketplace today,” he added.
