Southern Livingmagazine has selected
flooring from Shaw to help decorate the magazine’s three “Idea Houses” this
year. The houses in Florida, Georgia
and Arkansas have been designed to showcase decorating concepts that are aesthetically
pleasing yet designed for everyday living. Each will be opened to the public beginning
next month. Proceeds from the $5 admission fee will be donated to various
charities.
Shaw’s
creative director, Kathy Young notes that the exposure is a powerful way to
demonstrate how well the products work in a home. “Idea Houses provide an ideal setting for today’s busy consumer to
experience Shaw products,” said Young. “Consumer
research reveals the importance of visualization for the female consumer. What
better way for her to visualize than to see beautiful Shaw products living in
Southern Living homes?”
The three
homes, located in Water Sound, Fla., Reynolds’s Plantation, Ga., and Hot
Springs, Ark., all include a variety of Shaw products. The master suite in the Georgia Idea House,
for example, is furnished with the recyclable Anso nylon LCL pattern Classic
Interpretations, from Shaw’s Inspired Spaces collection. In addition, a neutral tone of the fashionable
My, My, My shag from the Shaw Tuftex collection is used to give a retro-chic
feel to rooms within the home. Rich Masters Mark hardwood is installed throughout
the main living areas along with Shaw ceramics in the bathrooms and kitchen.
