Congoleum said it is set to raise prices from 3 to 5 percent
across all of its residential and commercial flooring lines beginning May 15.
According to the company, the price increase is the result of rising raw
material costs.
“This price
increase will be across the board,” noted Liz Charbonneau, Congoleum’s vp
marketing. “It includes residential and commercial resilient tile, sheet and
other products – including seam sealers and adhesives.”
The
announcement comes several days after Armstrong announced a price hike for its
resilient flooring. Charbonneau predicts that other manufacturers in the
category will also institute increases soon.
“These increases are going to
be reflected across the category because we all have the same raw material
needs,” she said.
