Anderson-Tully, a 111-year old timber and lumber producer with facilities in Memphis, Tenn. and Vicksburg, Miss., will launch a full line of prefinished, engineered hardwood flooring beginning in the Spring of 2001.

The new product line, Capella Hardwood Floors, represents the most dramatic innovation in Anderson-Tully's history, the company said. According to CEO Tony Parks, the Capella line will be introduced at Surfaces 2001 in Las Vegas, Jan. 31 through Feb. 3.

Anderson-Tully is currently expanding its veneer plant in Vicksburg to produce flooring and other engineered products. The expanded facility will produce aluminum-oxide finishes and square-edge products in multiple widths. The products will be manufactured with a grain-enhancing slicing process and feature a precision tongue-and-groove fit. A thick wear layer will offer the same refinishing opportunities as standard solid 3/4-inch products, the company said.

A full line of widths and profiles are planned for the near future.
