McLoughlin, 46, recently resigned as vice president and general manager of DuPont Nonwovens. He has served in a number of senior management positions in his 22 year career with DuPont, leading consumer branded businesses such as Tyvek, Corian, and Stainmaster carpeting. He also serveson the board of DuPont Canada Inc.
McLoughlin will assume his position on March 17 and be based in Augusta, Ga. As president of EHP North America and executive vice president of Electrolux, he will be a member of group management and report to Hans Straberg, president and CEO of Electrolux.
EHP North America is the Electrolux Group's business sector under the Frigidaire and Tappan brand and the newly introduced Electrolux brand. The sector provides a full range of domestic appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, cookers, washing machines and room air conditioners.
Electrolux announced in September the plan to separate white goods appliances from consumer outdoor products in the North American market. Bob Cook has been serving the dual role of president for white goods and consumer outdoor products and will now be the president of consumer outdoor products in North America.
