Organizers of the 2005 Surfaces said the show will set a new record for exhibitors when it kicks off January 26 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. More than 1,000 companies from all facets of the flooring business are expected to display product during the three-day meeting. The figure will be the highest number of exhibitors in the show's 16-year history which in recent years has drawn about 950 exhibitors.
"Each year, our goal is to provide attendees with the largest offering of new products, new suppliers and new ways to grow their businesses and this year we are thrilled to be able to deliver such an incredible number of options for them to choose from," said, Surfaces' senior show director, Michelle Troop. She noted that product introductions are expected in many areas including carpet, ceramic tile, hardwood, laminate, resilient, rugs, stone, underlayment, accessories and specialty flooring products.
"All these new exhibitors and new products add up to a tremendous experience for attendees," said Troop. "They'll have more choices than ever as they make their business plans for the coming year and find new ways to be more profitable."
In addition to the latest carpet and rug styles, attendees at Surfaces 2005 can expect to see new colors and textures for hardwoods and tile, as well as mosaics, glass tiles, marble, granite, stone, inlays, borders, medallions, countertops, environment- and ergonomic-friendly products, a wide range of tools, accessories and services. The show will also include an Installer's Showcase that will offer live installation demonstrations on the show floor.
