MIDDLETON, Mass. -- The Bostik Findley Flooring Group has acquired DAP Inc.'s Durabond family of flooring installation products, as well as three of the business' related manufacturing and distribution facilities located in Paulsboro, N.J.; Conyers, Ga.; and Orange County, Calif.

"The Durabond acquisition transforms the company's North American Flooring Group overnight into a full-service supplier of high quality flooring installation and maintenance solutions for all flooring segments, including ceramic tile and stone, hardwood flooring, carpet, laminate, rubber, and vinyl/VCT Flooring," said Bill Fulton, vice president and general manager of Bostik Findley's Construction & Distribution Division.

"The Durabond...products are a complement to our already expansive line of ceramic tile, stone and hardwood installation and aftercare products," according to Rich D'Autilio, director of Sales and Marketing. "The Durabond acquisition not only rounds out our portfolio, the additional manufacturing and distribution facilities strengthens our foothold in key markets, enabling us to deliver a full range of today's leading flooring solutions to valued distributors and contractors."

"For our company, and all those who do business with us, this acquisition is a dream come true," said Robert McNamara, Flooring Group marketing manager. "Everywhere we had a gap in our flooring product portfolio, Durabond fills the niche nicely, and vice versa."
