EmilAmerica Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary of Italian ceramic tile manufacturer EmilCeramica SpA, has opened a new 20,000-square foot North American headquarters and distribution center in Alexandria, Va. The facility contains office, customer service, showroom, and warehouse spaces to coordinate the sales and marketing of EmilCeramica and Ergon products throughout North America.

"This new distribution center will allow us to dramatically increase our inventory and sample stock in the U.S. to more effectively provide value-added services to our independent distributors," said David Lang, general manager of EmilAmerica.

The company plans to stock more than 50 containers of finished product for immediate delivery. In addition to providing a reliable source of back up inventory, the office will provide centralized customer service and support functions for Emil's North American accounts.
