NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Entries are now being accepted for the 16th Annual Spectrum International Ceramic Tile Design Competition, the tile industry's annual competion for outstanding design and creativity in the use of ceramic tile.

Initiated in 1986 by the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association (CTDA), the awards program is now a part of Coverings, the industry's major trade show for the Americas.

In addition to the Grand Prize award of $10,000, cash prizes of $2,500 each are made for First Prize in the Residential Category and First Prize in the Commercial Category. Two Awards of Merit, one in each category, are also made in the amount of $1,500.

Submissions must include a typed narrative description of the project detailing the challenges presented by the project, the design innovations that were incorporated into the work, the project's goals and how they were achieved.

All projects must be accompanied by professional quality photography in either 8x10 color print or 35mm color slide format.
