An 18-year veteran of the flooring industry, Murfin spent the past 12 years with Midwest distributorship Misco Shawnee. During his tenure at Misco, Murfin held a number of positions, including vice president of the carpet division, vice president of hard surfaces, vice president of sales and marketing, and president of the company.

Murfin will facilitate the consolidation of Beaulieu’s hard surface operations and administrative functions to Dalton.

Beaulieu previously announced its intention to close the LDBrinkman administrative facility in Lewisville, Texas. The Lewisville warehouse distribution facility will remain in operation. Jeff Sills, who held the position Murfin is assuming, is pursuing other opportunities to remain in the Dallas area.

In addition, Peter Ciganovich was promoted to executive vice president, Sales and Marketing for Beaulieu Residential. Ciganovich, who joined Beaulieu earlier this year, brings more than 26 years of carpet industry experience to the position. He replaces Bill Waters, who has left Beaulieu to pursue other opportunities.
