Midwest Products, a division of Midwest Padding LLC, recently debuted KwikDek, a decking component composed of exotic wood slats backed with a plastic grid that snaps apart and back together via interlocking tabs.

Spacing between the slats allows rain to flow through, while the plastic grid elevates the wood, allowing airflow for drying, according to the company. The product can also be used as an instant pad for a hot tub or made into a path for a garden, the company says.
