Mohawk Industries Inc. has added solid and engineered hardwood flooring to the company's product slate. Following extensive research, Mohawk says it selected the most widely accepted wood species and colorations for the new line. Lexington, three-ply Monterey, Spiced Maple, Wellington, and five-ply Turnberry are the five styles of engineered hardwoods now available. Ashton and Hillsboro are featured in Mohawk's Master Merchandiser display, making the products highly visible to consumers.
This hardwood flooring collection features an array of 27 colors. Each product features the CrystalShield aluminum oxide finish, which is designed to offer consumers durability and easy maintenance. Warranties range from 10 to 25 years, depending on the product. The engineered hardwoods are available in 3/8- or 1/2-inch thicknesses, with eased or square edges. The solid hardwoods are 3/4-inch thick with eased edges and widths that vary from 2 1/4 to 3 1/4 inches. Styles range from rustic to traditional to contemporary.
