As announced previously, Pergo AB and the main shareholder of Witex AG -- HW Industries GmbH & Co. KG -- have signed a binding agreement concerning an acquisition of shares between Pergo and Witex.

The agreement is that Pergo will acquire all shares in Witex owned by HW Industries. Currently, Pergo owns 25.1 percent of WItex AG, while HW Industries owns the remaining shares.

The agreement between Pergo and Witex is among other things conditional upon approval from antitrust authorities in Germany and Sweden. The German antitrust authority has now approved the agreement, Pergo reports.

A decision from the Swedish antitrust authority is expected by mid-March 2003, Pergo says.
