Unilin's parent company made the name shift to Unilin Flooring last year to better reflect the company's exclusive focus on flooring products, as well as its growth in the industry. For Unilin's North American division, headquartered in Thomasville, N.C., the name change will better align it with its parent company and identify its success with Quick-Step laminate floors in the United States.

Since its entrance into the U.S. flooring market in 2001, Quick-Step has rapidly climbed the industry ranks to become one of the country's top laminate flooring suppliers. Quick-Step's success led to the announcement of an expansion this year, and Unilin Flooring recently began construction on its multi-million dollar high-tech manufacturing facility in Thomasville.
