Bona, a family-owned company specializing in premium floor care, has unveiled the next generation of its Bona Power Drive floor disc sander as the product celebrates its 10th anniversary. The enhanced version features significant upgrades designed to improve visibility and user experience.

First launched in 2015 as the world's first all-directional disc sanding system, the Bona Power Drive transformed hardwood floor refinishing by eliminating the need for contractors to rely on traditional heavy belt sanders that required specialized skills.

"The Bona Power Drive was designed 10 years ago as a revolutionary technology to make jobs easier for contractors and dramatically improve the ease of sanding a floor," said Matt Casey, director of professional marketing at Bona. "In 2015, the Bona Power Drive transformed the marketplace, removing the reliance on a heavy belt sander that called for a specific contractor skill set."

The latest version includes several key improvements, most notably a 270-degree LED light system that disperses light evenly across the floor surface, eliminating the need to manually reposition the machine for better visibility. Additional user-friendly features include a protective kickstand that prevents damage to both floors and equipment, and a redesigned backlit multimeter.

Originally developed as a fine finishing tool, the four-head Bona Power Drive is now used by many contractors throughout the entire sanding process. Its all-directional versatility delivers powerful rotary sanding down to bare wood while significantly reducing edging time and minimizing the risk of drum marks or chatter.

Bona will showcase the new Power Drive at the upcoming National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina at booth 1105, with a live demonstration scheduled for Thursday, April 17 from 11:00-11:30 a.m. in demo theater #2.
