High Point Market Authority Announces Star-Studded Keynote Series for Spring Market

The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) will host a powerful lineup of design industry leaders, fashion experts, and trend forecasters across two exceptional Keynote presentations during Spring Market at the High Point Theatre.
Saturday, April 26 - "Redefining Design Success: Breaking Creative Boundaries and Building Momentum"
On Saturday, April 26 at 3 pm, HPMA will present a panel discussion sponsored by Loloi featuring top designers Jeremiah Brent, Noz Nozawa, Mikel Welch, Brian Paquette, and Ashley Montgomery. Moderated by Dennis Scully, these design luminaries will reveal strategies for forging success in the business of design by embracing unconventional paths.
The impressive roster includes:
- Jeremiah Brent, interior designer, television personality, author, and founder of Jeremiah Brent Design with offices in LA and NYC. Named to Architectural Digest's AD100 list and Elle Decor's A-List, Brent is also host of Netflix's Emmy award-winning series "Queer Eye."
- Noz Nozawa, founder and principal designer of Noz Design, known for her eclectic, joy-first approach to interior design. Named to the 2024 Luxe Gold List and Better Homes & Gardens Stylemakers list, Nozawa's work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and Vogue.
- Mikel Welch, Emmy-winning TV design star from Netflix's "Hack My Home," in-house design consultant on The Drew Barrymore Show, and a House Beautiful Next Wave designer whose clients include Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Halle Berry.
- Brian Paquette, founder of Brian Paquette Interiors since 2009, whose background in painting and conceptual art informs his contemporary interiors. His work includes furniture design collaboration with Lawson-Fenning and has been featured in Dwell, Architectural Digest, and Luxe.
- Ashley Montgomery, specialist in high-end residential and boutique commercial design through her Toronto-based studio, with over 15 years of multisectoral experience and dual degrees in Interior Design and Hospitality.
- Dennis Scully, host of "Business of Home" podcast and "Dialogues on Design" interview series at the New York School of Interior Design.
Sunday, April 27 - "From Fashion to Interiors: Leveraging Brand Identity Across Industries"
On Sunday, April 27 at 3 pm, HPMA in partnership with the Diversity Advocacy Alliance (DAA) will present a discussion on expanding brand identity and exploring licensing opportunities in home furnishings, featuring:
- Daymond John, co-founder of global sportswear brand FUBU, successful businessman, investor known for transforming start-ups into successful companies, New York Times bestselling author, and regular on ABC's Emmy award-winning Shark Tank.
- Jaye Anna Mize, Vice President of Advisory for Fashion Snoops, a trend-forecasting agency providing strategic guidance for industries including fashion, beauty, and home decor, with experience developing consumer insights and marketing strategies for The Walt Disney Company, Timberland, and Hooker Furnishings.
- Patti Carpenter, award-winning principal and Global Trend Ambassador at carpenter + company, specializing in color trend forecasting, research and analytics, and international product development, with experience including Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, and Crate & Barrel.
As part of the partnership with HPMA's Diversity Advocacy Alliance, which aims to "advance, improve and support diversity by cultivating a welcoming environment and expanding the representation of the BIPOC community within the home furnishings industry and its leadership," a select group businesses participating in Thrive High Point, a program that supports the needs of minority and women-owned businesses in the community, will be invited to attend Sunday's event.
