Women In the Floorcovering Industry Announces Latest Scholarships

Women in the Floorcovering Industry (WIFI) announced its latest scholarship recipients, marking an exciting milestone of nearly $50,000 invested in the growth and development of 17 women in the flooring industry. This ongoing commitment reflects WIFI’s dedication to empowering individuals who are shaping the future of flooring. WIFI’s scholarship program is made possible through the support of generous donors who believe in the power of education and opportunity.
Betsy Amoroso, chief of staff at Mannington and WIFI board member shared, “I know I speak for the whole WIFI Board when I say ‘congratulations’ to our recipients. It is our mission to support and empower women in the flooring industry, and through these scholarships, we are helping pave the way for greater opportunities and a more inclusive future for the next generation of leaders in the field.”
The latest round of recipients, awarded in December 2024, includes:
Madison Adams - Account Manager, Palziv North America, North Carolina
Adams will use her scholarship to pursue an associate’s degree in accounting from Vance-Granville Community College. “Finishing this degree is the next step to further my knowledge and become the powerhouse I know I will be,” Adams said. She aims to strengthen her financial skills to support industry growth and advance within her company, with plans to continue her education in business and finance.
Landon Lambert - Marketing Specialist, Mohawk Industries, Georgia
Lambertwill use the WIFI scholarship to enroll in Harvard Business School Online courses, including the Digital Marketing Strategy Certificate, Creating Brand Value Certificate, and AI Essentials for Business. “My career goals revolve around becoming an innovative and reputable leader in marketing, and this scholarship is a critical step toward that goal," Lambert said. Through her studies, she hopes to strengthen her leadership abilities and guide marketing teams in developing impactful strategies.
Emily Perkins – Business Manager, Carpetland of New England, Connecticut
Perkins will use the WIFI scholarship to pursue professional training through Certified Flooring Installers (CFI), including courses in estimating and measuring, substrate preparation, and technical certification for LVP/Resilient Laminate. “By receiving funds from WIFI, I will be able to continue my learning journey, while financially supporting those of my people,” Perkins said. By enhancing her technical expertise, Perkins aims to improve operational efficiency, support her team’s growth, and contribute to raising standards within her family-owned company and beyond.
Jennifer Roundtree - Global Director of Marketing and Brands, Universal Fibers, Virginia
Rountree will use the WIFI scholarship to pursue the LEED Green Associate certification offered by the U.S. Green Building Council. “This certification would provide me with the deeper understanding and knowledge required to better serve our end users, particularly the specifiers and design professionals who are driving the demand for sustainable products in the market,” Roundtree said. By expanding her expertise in sustainable building practices, Roundtree aims to strengthen her company’s sustainability initiatives, support eco-friendly innovation, and advance her leadership within the flooring industry.
