With winter on the horizon, commercial property owners are bracing for heating bills to climb. One strategy to lower the cost of heating is installing EasyHeat XD cable kits under the concrete slabs of garages, storage facilities, aircraft hangers, and warehouses, among other properties, creating a thermal mass that radiates heat throughout the building.

Using fixed resistance, EasyHeat XD cables safely convert electricity into heat. The ground underneath where the cables are installed becomes an efficient, large mass of stored thermal energy that is only released when the area above it becomes cool. Otherwise, the radiant heat remains where it is, so there is no wasted energy. The cables save money by operating only during off-peak utility hours when discounted electricity is available, and automatically turning off during peak hours.

EasyHeat XD cable kits are tough, heavy-duty heating cables explicitly engineered to be installed in soil or sand under a concrete slab building foundation. These dual-element, fixed-resistance cables are supplied with 20 ft (6.10 m) cold leads as standard and made-to-order in 208 Vac and 240 Vac.

EasyHeat XD cable kits can be zone-controlled and automatically timed for use during low peak periods, when necessary, for even greater economy. Each heating zone requires two thermostats: an adjustable sensing thermostat to control floor temperature at an appropriate setting and a pre-set high-limit thermostat to ensure heating cable temperature does not exceed design requirements.

EasyHeat XD cable kits are UL-listed and backed by a one-year limited warranty.
