Three flooring distributors and a coatings solutions company announced the promotion and addition of new team members. Read on for Floor Trends & Installation's round-up of recent arrivals and changes in flooring sales and business. 

Adleta Corporation, a distributor of hard-surface flooring in the Central U.S., announced Tony Shipka has been promoted to vice president of operations and customer service. He has been with Adleta for 32 years and has held a variety of positions during his career.  

Jose Manjarrez has been promoted to vice president of distribution and transportation. Manjarrez has been a team member for 27 years and has demonstrated an ability to lead people, run multiple warehouses and manage the entire fleet of Adleta vehicles, the company said. 

Coval Technologies, a manufacturer of stain—and abrasion-resistant coatings, has appointed Shawn Erickson as the southeastern regional sales manager. Erickson will enhance existing client relationships in the southeastern United States and build connections with new clients. 

For the past 10 years, Erickson has managed sales in the coatings industry. His expertise includes comprehensive sales, sales support and management, field marketing, new client acquisitions, and training with new products. Coval sells to product distributors but works closely with coatings installers to facilitate large installations.

His previous work includes positions with Laticrete International, The Sherwin Williams Company – Concrete Coatings Division, and Jon-Don. Erickson received a bachelor of science in industrial technology degree from St. Cloud University, where he attended on a football scholarship. Originally from Indiana, Erickson has lived in Atlanta for the past 35 years.

Louisville, Kentucky-based Louisville Tile Distributors added two members to its architecture and design team. Charli Sullivan will focus on Nashville, Tennessee, and the surrounding area. She has more than 10 years of experience in high-end residential and commercial projects, including retail, multi-family, government, mixed-use, historic preservation and healthcare. Kayla Malone will focus on Louisville Tile's Greater Cincinnati, Ohio, market, including Dayton and Columbus. Her previous experience includes design and project management in the hospitality, retail, workplace, and high-end residential markets.

In addition to welcoming new talent, Louisville Tile announced plans to expand its architecture and design initiatives. The company will host events, presentations, and CEU trainings to provide architects and designers with the latest industry trends, product knowledge, and design inspiration. With these initiatives, Louisville Tile aims to strengthen its relationships with the A&D community and position itself as a leading provider of innovative tile solutions.

Two years in the market, Spartan Hospitality continues to expand with the addition of Evan Martinez as Southwest regional manager, Hospitality with a dedicated focus on California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Hawaii. The Southwest is home to many key players in the hospitality industry, including local developers, design firms, and brands.
