Bonitz, a commercial flooring contractor headquartered in Concord, North Carolina, marks its 70th anniversary, reflecting on decades of growth and adaptation in the specialty trade commercial contracting sector.
Founded by Bill Rogers in 1954 in South Carolina, the company has grown to operate in 14 locations nationally, thanks to its affiliation with Starnet Commercial Flooring.
“I am proud to be associated with a company that has endured a lot but never lost sight of who we are,” said Bonitz President Ron Lutwiller.
The company has consistently prioritized innovation and customer satisfaction, and in recent years, it embraced a transformative rebranding initiative to better reflect its evolving role in the industry.
The company said transitioning to a "specialty trade commercial contractor" has been a pivotal step in positioning it for future growth and success. This move will allow the company to expand its reach and explore new markets while staying true to the foundational values of quality and innovation.
"While traditional flooring and ceilings have been at the core of our success, we understand the importance of evolution and diversification," Lutwiller said. "That is why we have embarked on a journey to redefine ourselves and offer a broader range of products and solutions that cater to our customers' ever-changing needs.”
Looking ahead to the next 70 years, Bonitz leadership said it will continue to expand horizons, embracing new challenges, and innovating in ways that drive progress and create value for clients and communities.
“For me, saying that we want to be the leading specialty trade commercial contractor simply means that the customer always thinks of us first for any specialty contracting need that they have," Lutwiller said.
