Belgian company Beaulieu International Group (BIG) is making a significant move towards sustainability by powering its cushion vinyl production plant with green energy. Made possible through a new collaboration with A&U Energie, the initiative will allow BIG to power its plant with green energy and reduce its CO2 emissions by more than 88%. The company expects to receive green heat from A&U Energie’s power station starting in 2025.
“We are delighted with this major step in our sustainability ambition,” says Wim Coppens, who serves as the VP of Beaulieu International Group’s Flooring Solutions business.
“By switching to local green steam for our thermal heating needs, we are not only reducing our environmental impact but also improving our operational efficiency," said Wim Coppens, vice president of Beaulieu International Group’s Flooring Solutions business.
