Marshalltown Hammer, a subsidiary of Iowa-based tool manufacturer Marshalltown, announced it purchased the assets of Vaughan & Bushnell Manufacturing Co., a tool manufacturer based in Woodstock, Illinois.

Marshalltown manufacturers tools and equipment for various industries including flooring, concrete, masonry, drywall, asphalt, tile, painting, archaeology and snow removal.

Vaughan was established in 1869. In 2018, Vaughan acquired Dasco Pro, Inc., a leader in the manufacturing of chisels and punches. Today, Vaughan is known around the world for its line of hand tools, including hammers and pry bars.

“Our companies are extremely well-aligned, sharing a common customer base and dedication to American manufacturing,” said Marshalltown President and CEO Joe Carter. “With this purchase, we strive to offer our collective customer base an even broader range of industry-leading, innovative hand tools and equipment.”
