The Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF) has approved AFT as a training provider and its new Six-Week Course to receive scholarship funds, announced Robert Varden.
Varden founded AFT in 1988. It provides knowledge and skills training in specific areas that beginning or seasoned installers need most: Custom Seaming, Carpet Pattern Correction, Residential Resilient Installation, Commercial Resilient Installation, LVP Installation, and a Six-Week Classroom and On-The-Job Carpet and LVP Course.
The AFT Six-Week Course is open to new, untrained hires employed with dealers or contractors. Three training phases combine classroom and on-the-job experience that build upon each other, from a basic introduction in Phase 1 to more intensity and depth in carpet and LVP installation in Phases 2 and 3.
