Broadlume, a technology company that supplies independent flooring dealers with software solutions, announced its acquisition of Banaboom, a cloud-based software company. The plan is to integrate Banaboom into its Rollmaster platform that the firm acquired last year.

Banaboom was developed by Josh Pendergrass out of Phoenix, Arizona in 2014. His family owned seven Carpet One stores, and Pendergrass got his start working for the family business. He later went to college where he learned that he was more interested in technology so, he decided to create his own enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Additionally, Pendergrass will be joining the Broadlume team to ensure a smooth transition.

"I'm really looking forward to merging these two products together and giving you guys something very exciting and very new," said Pendergrass. "I know what that's like being a dealer. Sometimes you feel like you're out there on your own or the bigger dealers in town may have more resources and can get more done. That's what I love about Broadlume is that the technology that they bring really levels the playing field. It's going to improve everything about your stores and about your business."

According to Todd Saunders, CEO, Broadlume, Banaboom's cloud-based capabilities and enhanced security features will only serve to provide a better software solution to current and future customers. The company is investing $22 million, signaling its commitment to the merger. Current Rollmaster users will be the first to utilize the new software's features in roughly a six to nine month time period.

John Weller, co-founder of FloorForce, a digital marketing platform for flooring retailers, manufacturers and distributors, revealed that FloorCon 2022 will take place November 14-16 in Tucson, Arizona and is expanding from a two- to a three-day event.
