The flooring industry has been looking for a solution to make checkerboard pattern installations with a click system for a long time. The challenge for manufacturers has always been the accuracy that is needed to make an SPC tile perfectly square. The smallest tolerances or errors during the manufacturing process would cause the tiles to become difficult to be installed, and the normal handling required during installation could cause the individual tiles to move out of alignment.
To solve this problem, Unilin Technologies will launch SquareClic, a technology which ensures a perfectly aligned floor throughout the whole installation.
“Due to standard production tolerances, square floorboards almost always show deviations in their format”, said Floris Koopmans, sales director IP at Unilin Technologies. “These tolerances will add-up when installing several tiles, making it almost impossible to install a whole floor in a checkerboard pattern. SquareClic technology ensures that each intersection of four installed square panels stays perfectly positioned with the edges aligned, even when using a hammer assisted installation.”
This new technology for square tiles and checkerboard installations with click will be launched at TISE, booth 6317.
