After 30 years at Starnet member Beatty Floors in Vancouver, BC, Vance McCarthy is retiring at the end of this year, the commercial flooring partnership reported this week.
Early in his career, Vance was a field sales representative for Starnet vendor partners Armstrong and Crossley, now part of Tarkett, in western Canada. Once joining Beatty Floors, Vance had three decades of success working on the largest projects in Vancouver, which has become a high-tech hot spot. Don Brletic is the new president of the company succeeding Vance, and Matt Kowal has also rejoined Beatty Floors to lead the sales team. This year Beatty Floors moved to a new location which will support their growth plans.
Vance has plans to play weekday golf, tear up the trails on his e-bike, travel and spend quality time with several grandchildren.
“I have been blessed in so many ways with this business. Our membership with Starnet has truly been outstanding and has guided Beatty to the highest standards in our market. It has been a great run, and I wish the Starnet organization and my fellow members the very best.”
