Established in China since 2007, Välinge is actively supporting more than 200 licensees in China and in other Asia Pacific countries. Välinge continues to expand and increase the level of service it is able to offer Asian customers.
Välinge Support Center China (VSCC), established in Kunshan in December 2019, is further expanding with additional testing capabilities such as a castor chair test machine as well as a climate chamber. A flooring double-end tenoner will also be installed in early 2022 to support local flooring licensees with even shorter lead times when it comes to testing and fine-tuning locking systems for laminate, wood, resilient and mineral flooring products. The VSCC facilities have been extended to house these additional capabilities. The support center regularly hosts events organized by Välinge with flooring or furniture licensees as well as partners in the industry to discuss and demonstrate some of its latest technologies such as 5G Fold Down, Threespine and Liteback.
Välinge is currently setting up a bonded warehouse in Shanghai for the fast delivery of the 5G bristle tongue inserts from first quarter of 2022 onwards. This will further shorten lead times and reduce costs for licensees in the region, the company said.
