LooseLay Longboard, an extension of the Karndean LooseLay non-interlocking floating floor range, has been named the recipient of a 2019 Vision Award, sponsored by FacilitiesNet.com.
The Vision Awards program was created to highlight important innovations in facility technology; and honor innovation and excellence in products that contribute to the efficient and profitable operations and management of institutional and commercial buildings in the U.S. Winners will also be recognized at the National Facilities Management and Technology (NFMT) Orlando Conference and Expo in November and in the December 2019 issue of Building Operating Management magazine.
More than 115 products entered the inaugural Vision Awards Program. Entries were reviewed and judged by an independent panel of seven esteemed facility executives. The awards recognize products, systems and technologies across 10 categories. Karndean Designflooring LooseLay Longboard was recognized in the Interiors category.
Featuring 59” planks, this range is notable for its multi-directional planks, speedy install time, acoustic properties (ΔIIC 16dB), individually replaceable planks and seamless transition to commercial carpet tile. Due to the product’s K-Wave friction grip backing, minimal adhesive is required. This backing, combined with the weight of the planks, holds the product in place without the use of full-spread adhesive in most applications. In 2019, 6 new colors were added to LooseLay Longboard, now comprised of 18 wood visuals. Designs were developed from American, European and Australian species, including European Oak, American Heart Pines, and Australian Walnut and Lemon Spotted Gum.
