Dalton, Ga. -- Myers Carpet Co. has opened a third location with the acquisition of Nashville Carpet Center in Nashville, Tenn.
The property and 60,000-square-foot building served as Nashville Carpet Center’s distribution center for the past several years. The building has been renovated with a 25,000-square-foot showroom, new roof, heating and air, LED lighting throughout, and new offices. The warehouse also features a state-of-the art workroom for custom rug production and is fully racked and full of carpet and area rug inventory.
Today, Myers Carpet consists of Myers Flooring Dalton, Myers Flooring Atlanta, one of the largest floor covering stores in Atlanta, and Myers Flooring Nashville, Nashville’s largest floor covering retail store. With the purchase of the new location, Myers now employs 85 employees and numerous teams of installers.
The management team is made up of owners Ray and Rick Myers; Sandy Valleriano, controller; Chris Fonville, manager of Myers Flooring Atlanta; and Doug Peeples, manager of Myers Flooring Nashville. Myers sells products from Shaw, Mohawk, Dixie Group, and Engineered Floors. One of the keys to the company's success is that all three locations have custom rug workrooms where they cut, serge, bind and create customized area rugs and room-sized rugs.
A grand opening celebration is planned for Friday, May 3, from 4-7 p.m.
