Dalton, Ga. -- Forbes has recognized Engineered Floors as one of the “Best Employers for Diversity” as well as the number one carpet manufacturer for diversity. The employers on the list were selected as the result of an independent survey in which over 50,000 employees, working at companies with at least 1,000 employees, were surveyed on their employers as well as other employers within the same industry. Employees gave their opinions on how their employers handle topics such as age, gender equality, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQ+, and general diversity.
“The growth and continued success of Engineered Floors would not have been possible without our talented and dedicated associates,” said Louis Fordham, vice president of human resources. “Since our humble beginnings, we have cultivated an environment of diversity and inclusion. We embrace the responsibility as one of the leading employers in North Georgia and fully recognize the importance of having a diverse workforce and the impact it will have on our future success.”
James Lesslie, president of commercial, added, “It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts in encouraging diversity. We believe that diversity in the workplace is a competitive advantage."
With the recognition, including the J+J and EF Contract workforce, Engineered Floors will continue to make diversity practices a vital component of the company’s organizational goals. Innovation is a cornerstone for the company, and that wouldn’t be possible without a diverse workforce.
