Crossville, Tenn. -- Crossville announced the launch of Crossville Porcelain Countertops, a versatile, 12mm porcelain product engineered to provide unique endurance and style for all types of countertop installations, including exterior applications. The line offers designers a range of surface visuals for commercial and residential projects. In keeping with the performance expected of porcelain tile, Crossville Porcelain Countertops deliver advanced technical characteristics, ensuring superior durability, low maintenance, and stain resistance.
According to Frank Douglas, Crossville’s vice president of business development, the benefits of Crossville’s porcelain countertops are substantial. “Our porcelain countertops offer the superior performance expected of porcelain tile—strength, stain resistance, ease of maintenance, UV stability, and weather resistance. The performance offers real advantages compared to stone and other materials used for countertops.”
The 100% porcelain product is fired with added fiberglass reinforcement on the back. This added measure of strength combined with the dense, non-porous body ensures the material will not crack, yellow, or stain and is built to last. It’s suited for interior and exterior countertop installations in commercial or residential settings.
The 10 products in the Crossville Porcelain Countertops line, all exclusive to Crossville, capture super-realistic visuals and nuanced tones. Several options are designed to coordinate with popular porcelain tile collections by Crossville, and each comes in unpolished or polished finishes.
The 1620mm x 3240mm (63.78” x 127.56”) size offers ease of installation for a range of countertop applications. Additionally, the material may be finished in a variety of ways to achieve custom looks. Installers may build the product up with mitered edges to desired thickness or keep things sleek and modern with a 12mm eased or bullnose edge. The material may be extended to backsplashes and shower walls to create cohesive looks.
