Viken, Sweden -- Välinge announced that Brazilian premium hardwood flooring producer Masterpiso has decided to implement locking technology from Välinge. Masterpiso signed the license agreement after a thorough evaluation of other available options on the market. The company will now produce flooring with the 2G system on the long side, thereby enabling fast and easy installation of its flooring products.
“Locking technologies from Välinge are desired by many of our clients,” said Alessandro Faria, CEO at Masterpiso. “The market for DIY products is growing and we want to attend our client’s needs. The transition between boards is smooth and the final result is very satisfying.”
Masterpiso belongs to Indusparquet Group, which is the leader in Brazilian hardwood flooring and is present in five continents with distribution points around the world. The license agreement is the third for Välinge in Brazil, and enables customers to more easily access products with Välinge click technology across Brazil and South America. This geographic location also avoids the uncertainty about U.S tariffs on Chinese goods.
“Välinge held a successful start-up training here during October in order to shorten the time-to-market,” Alessandro said. “The production is now up and running and thanks to the click, the product range is now complete.”
