The architectural applications of Lapitec sintered stone will be the key feature of the Lapitec stand (Hall A4, 400), at the upcoming BAU 2019 tradeshow in Munich, Germany, Jan. 14 - 19, 2019.
The exhibition space will showcase the Italian company’s large format, 5-meter square (3365x1500) Lux-finish slabs, in Bianco Assoluto, a shade that brightens every space with its natural luster. The slabs will be applied in rainscreen facades using the Lapitec H1 system, a solution that delivers continuity, in terms of both color and aesthetic, for a seamless-effect finish.
Furthermore, Lapitec will be unveiling the new Velvet finish, a brushed surface with a velvety texture, specifically designed for interiors. This new collection, which follows the large format Urban surfaces project launched in 2017 for exterior cladding, comes in three different thicknesses (12, 20 and 30 mm) and four color options: Brooklyn, Berlin, Casablanca and London.
Just like Urban, Velvet takes inspiration from four iconic cities with an extremely defined architectural identity. With its new color card of iron alloy hues, Brooklyn delivers a high-impact aesthetic with a textural effect. London features ash grey tones that recall the London Smoke shade, interpreted in a glamorous, metropolitan key. Meanwhile, Berlin, evokes the colors and atmosphere of the German capital’s urban landscape. Finally, Casablanca is a very light, pure, ivory-white finish, inspired by the white buildings in the Moroccan city that contrast beautifully against the colors of the Atlantic Ocean.
