Salt Lake City, Utah -- Salt Lake City-based SnapSports was once again a key player in the Mizuno Big South National Qualifier volleyball tournament, which took place March 30 to April 1 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga. The tournament, entering its 30th year, will feature over 200,000 square feet of SnapSports 5050 ShockTower volleyball surfacing.

The Big South National Qualifier remains the nation’s largest single weekend volleyball event, where 60 of the 160 event courts will be comprised of SnapSports 5050 ShockTower Surfacing. The conclusion of the tournament will send 34 teams home with a bid to USA Volleyball’s Junior National Championships.

SnapSports 5050 ShockTower surfacing is a modular athletic surface with a built in shock absorption system. The patented 5050 ShockTower Technology not only eliminates the need for time consuming and costly underlayment, it provides an added level of ‘cush’ to reduce impact on joints and limbs. SnapSports Volleyball surfaces ensure an consistent playing surface and excellent coefficient of friction.

“We could not be happier with this SnapSports sports flooring, said Randy Dagostino, Big South National Qualifier. “We found the installation was faster because it eliminated a time consuming step of first having to put down an underlayment and the locking mechanism of the tile worked great. The larger module made it easier to handle both during installation and teardown and from an aesthetic standpoint, they made our tournament look classier and cleaner,“ Dagostino continued. “We heard many positive comments from the athletes and their coaches about how much they enjoyed playing on SnapSports Championship Volleyball Courts.”
