Fabio Novembre, designer, architect, and blogger, will be giving a lecture in Cersaie’s “Lezioni alla rovescia” (Backwards Lectures) series at 10 a.m. on Friday Sept. 29 at the Europauditorium in the Palazzo dei Congressi. Previous lecturers include Enzo Mari and Alessandro Mendini, as well as unconventional interactive events with Riccardo Dalisi, Riccardo Blumer, Massimo Giacon and Ugo La Pietra.

Novembre’s lecture is a key event in Cersaie's “Building, Dwelling, Thinking” program. Higher education students from all around Emilia Romagna will have the opportunity to interact directly with the artists. The Backwards Lecture will be introduced by historian of architecture Fulvio Irace, lecturer at Milan Polytechnic.

Novembre designs architecture and interiors for large international brands, including Lavazza, Blumarine and Stuart Weitzman, and has worked with Italian design companies such as Driade, Cappellini, Venini and Kartell. Milan Municipality dedicated a large photographic exhibit to his work at the Rotonda in Via Besana, “Insegna anche a me la libertà delle rondini” (Teach me the freedom of the swallows). He also curated a show of his work for the Triennale Design Museum in Milan entitled: “Il fiore di Novembre” (The flower of Novembre), as well as the installation representing Milan at the Shanghai Expo Italy Pavilion in 2010. In 2011 he was the art director for the “Lavazza con te partirò” (Lavazza, I'll leave with you) exhibition at the Milano Triennalle Teatro dell'Arte to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the company's Calendar and the Steve McCurry exhibition at MACRO Testaccio, Rome. Novembre designed the installation for the fifth edition of the Triennale Design Museum in 2012, the interiors for the new headquarters of Milan AC in 2014, the Lavazza space at Expo Milan in 2015, and the INTRO installation for the XXIst Milan Triennale in 2016.
