Armstrong Flooring, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacture of innovative flooring solutions, has hired Brent Flaharty as vice-president, residential sales.

Flaharty will have overall sales responsibilities for the residential business and all residential channels, including distribution, builder, property management, national accounts and retail strategic accounts.

"Having a single leader with responsibility for our channel-focused teams will streamline implementation of our strategy and enable us to increase engagement with our customers,” said Joe Bondi, senior vice president, North America residential. "Brent brings significant sales and marketing leadership experience to our team, and we are excited to have him on board."

Flaharty worked most recently as chief revenue officer for Maglite, with responsibility for strategic planning, account management and marketing. He previously worked for Masonite International as vice-president and retail business leader for North America.

Earlier in his career, he worked for Black & Decker in roles with increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as president, residential strategic business unit.
