The nation’s failure to invest in construction workforce education and training programs is having a real, measurable impact on the country’s ability to build infrastructure and other construction projects, according to the results of a workforce survey.

Floor & Decor will offer free virtual education classes covering topics that are key to developing jobs in the construction, renovation, and flooring industries.

The scholarship program is available to those studying interior design, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural engineering, construction management or skilled trades. 

Offered at no cost to Alabama participants, the course is designed to prepare individuals for careers in flooring installation. It combines online learning with hands-on labs led by experienced professionals.

Designed to allow for an easier install process for hardwood flooring contractors by mitigating moisture on concrete and wooden subfloor systems, Bona launches Bona RollGuard.

The Floor Covering Education Foundation partners with International Flooring Company (IFC) to tackle the skilled worker shortage in flooring. IFC will donate one cent per square foot from Canopy Floors luxury vinyl flooring sales, with retailers optionally matching. Funds will support installer training, scholarships, and industry outreach.
