Anderson has expanded its Virginia Vintage hardwood flooring line with Fumed Cherry, a hand-scraped product. Fumed Cherry uses a rich through-color process developed by the furniture industry. This process results in a beautiful, durable floor that shows off its weathered character, Anderson says.
Marmoleum linoleum from Forbo Flooring is now available in a glueless, floating variety. Called Marmoleum click, the product is mounted on a click panel for quicker installation. Marmoleum is crafted using all-natural materials including linseed oil, resins and wood flour.
New from FN Neuhofer Holz, the FN lock-on system is both transition and stair profile. The system is firmly connected to the floor, but still allows for floor movement, the company says. FN lock-on profiles are available in HDF and aluminum designs.
Flexco has pulled the wraps off of FlexTerior, a line of metal treads for use on stairs and landings. Made from an exterior-grade, heat-treated aluminum, the treads can be installed both indoors and out, Flexco says. FlexTerior treads are available in seven fade-resistant colors, with custom color matching also available.
APAC adds surface coatings to their product line with TacAbate. The new product is a solvent-free, polymer-based surface coating for removing adhesive residue from floors after old floor coverings have been removed and old adhesives have been scraped away. TacAbate is compatible with acrylic and SBR based adhesive products can also be used on floors using pressure-sensitive adhesive.
Sonic Floor is a new laminate flooring from Kronopol, featuring sound-deadening technology. The floor incorporates a felt and rubber underpad which significantly reduces impact noise, Kronopol says. The product is also environmentally sound: the laminate flooring is made using wood from Forest Stewardship Council-certified forests.
Johnsonite has added the Bamboo and Cubis textures included in its line of rubber flooring to the company's Roundel stair tread line. The slip-resistant stairwell products are designed to increase visibility and reduce slips and falls, according to the company.
Vitromex introduces the Artemis line of impervious glazed porcelain tiles. The initial collection is offered in five series: Cotto Real, Milano, Roca del Sol, Sierra Madre and Tuscany. The Artemis collection is engineered to replicate the beauty of natural stones from around the world, Vitromex says. Artemis products are frost-proof and impervious to water, the company notes.
United States Ceramic Tile Co. has taken the wraps off the Color Collection, a system that includes wall tiles in three finishes, complemented by two coordinating floor finishes. The wall tiles are available in primary, contemporary and speckled offerings, for a total of 67 colors. Floor tiles are offered in solid and speckled versions, for a total of 12 colors.
