Continuing the trend of prices increases hitting the flooring business, Dow Latex said it is increasing prices of all latex products sold into the carpet industry by US $0.05 per pound (dry). The increase takes effect April 1.

Tarkett Commercial said it has expanded its distribution network to include Building Plastics, Inc. (BPI), of Memphis, Tenn, which will begin offering Tarkett's Azrock line in the state of Texas.
Johnsonite has become the latest major supplier to announce a price increase due to a shortage of raw materials needed in the manufacture of resilient flooring. The company said that effective March 7 it will raise prices by 4-5%. It also cautioned that additional increases may be necessary.
