Second-quarter GDP revised higher

WASHINGTON -- Gross domestic product rose at an annual rate of 1.3 percent in the second quarter, the Commerce Department reported today in its final or third estimate of GDP.

A month ago, Commerce had estimated that second-quarter GDP would grow only 1.1 percent.
