Tarkett Achieves CDP's Highest 'A' Rating, Joins Top 2% of Companies for Climate Action
Global flooring manufacturer Tarkett has achieved the highest possible "A" rating from CDP, placing it among the top 2% of companies assessed for climate performance worldwide. CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world's leading carbon disclosure platform and is considered the gold standard in the assessment of corporate climate strategy. This achievement recognizes Tarkett's comprehensive climate strategy and follows its recent Platinum Medal from EcoVadis, establishing the company as a sustainability leader beyond the flooring industry.
The CDP evaluated over 24,800 companies, with Tarkett joining an elite group at the highest level of climate action maturity. This recognition comes after Tarkett's climate roadmap received Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approval in 2023 and its inclusion in Financial Times' Europe's Climate Leaders Ranking.
Sustainability leadership at Tarkett includes restructuring governance, implementing eco-design principles, increasing recycled content in products, and working to reduce climate impact throughout its value chain.
"Reaching A, the highest level of CDP, is a great recognition of our long-standing leadership and continuous progress in our climate ambition," said Arnaud Marquis, Tarkett's sustainability and safety officer.
