NTCA is hosting a free webinar sponsored by Custom Tile Installation Systems, 'Quality Assurance: Evaluating Ceramic Tile Installations,' on Oct 3, 2023 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT.

Advanced Flooring Technology (AFT) is quickly gaining momentum as an installation training and certifying body for the floorcovering industry, working with organizations like the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades and CCA Global Partners.

The event will take place in Baltimore, Maryland on Wednesday-Thursday, October 25 - 26 at the Fishman Flooring Solutions facility located at 6301 E. Lombard Street Baltimore, MD 21224.

Reuben Potter, owner, Floors By Southern Boys, dedicates time each week to creating how-to videos to help fill in knowledge gaps for other flooring installers. With over 30 years’ experience, he goes beyond videos to offer workshops annually. 

National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) Trainers are bringing 30 free, standards-based workshops to 15 states, including multiple regional events and two art glass panel trainings. 

Installers learned how to prepare, cut and install 48”x110” gauged porcelain tiles using mocked-up shower stall settings. 

The new site is designed as a gateway for dealers, distributors, and contractors to set up and host their own installer training, as well as for installers who seek to improve their knowledge and skills.

Tarkett will be hosting a free product webinar on Thursday, September 28 at 11 AM CT / 12 PM ET, 'Recycling Made Easy with Tarkett' presented by Rachel Palopoli, Director, Circular Economy, Tarkett. 

The federal grant will fund installation training programs at several colleges in Alabama over the next three years. It represents the FCEF's inaugural funding success outside of the industry and sets the stage for future grant applications.
