Gilford•Johnson Flooring's senior executive team has been announced.
The newly merged company presents an opportunity to bring together two quality-oriented organizations under an experienced leadership team of industry veterans, according to Dennis Cook, president and CEO of the company. Gilford•Johnson Flooring will be uniquely positioned to offer product diversification and exclusive brands to their current customers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio and Tennessee, he said.

Melinda McChesney will be leading the Southeast Division of the company as president. She started with the former Johnson Wholesale Floors and brings many years of management experience to the combined company. She will be based in Atlanta.
Scott Shanks has been appointed senior vice president of finance and administration with the company. He has been a key employee of the former Gilford for over 25 years and brings many years of finance and administration experience to the combined company. He will be based in Jeffersonville, Ind.
Rob Purkins has been appointed senior vice president of products and marketing with Gilford•Johnson Flooring. He has been a key employee of the former Gilford Flooring for over 12 years and brings many years of product and marketing experience to the combined company. He will be based in Jeffersonville, Ind.
Nik Burdett has been appointed senior vice president of sales with the company. He started with the former Johnson Wholesale Floors in 2006 and brings many years of sales and marketing experience to the combined company. He will be based in Atlanta.
David Dobbs has been appointed vice president of purchasing and technical/sales service with the company. He has been a key employee of the former Gilford for over eight years and brings many years of purchasing and technical/sales service experience to the company. He will be based in Jeffersonville, Ind.
Jodie Doyle has been appointed vice president of product management with the company. He has been a key employee of the former Gilford Flooring for over 12 years and brings many years of product management experience to the company. He will be based in Jeffersonville, Ind.
Chris Nelson has been appointed director of human resources and general counsel with the company. He has been a key employee of the former Gilford for over five years and brings many years of legal and human resources experience to the company. He will be based in Jeffersonville, Ind.
