The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) will showcase its sustainability and green building expertise and offerings next week during the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, taking place Nov. 18 and 19 in Washington, D.C., with a large booth presence, a special green legislation session featuring congressional staffers, education sessions and more, according to the association.
Formerly focused on commercial building, Greenbuild has expanded its residential presence and NAHB's participation as a Top Tier Partner this year has contributed to that growth.
"We are pleased to offer attendees access to a number of special education sessions focusing on residential green building growth and trends, and we're proud to be able to bring in some key Senate staff who have been advocates on the energy and green legislation front," said Tom Woods, NAHB's chairman.
At Greenbuild, NAHB will feature:
Exhibit Booth:
Attendees will be able to visit the Housing Hub (booth #2641) in the Greenbuild Expo Hall to learn about where sustainable design and home building intersect. Architects, builders and planners want to know the latest high-performance construction techniques builders are using and what consumers are asking for, so join us at the booth to hear more. NAHB will have sessions on green design and market trends, selling high-performance homes, advanced duct design, improving indoor air quality, building with the ICC 700 National Green Building Standard and more.
Capitol Hill Spotlight:
Ed Brady, NAHB's first vice chairman, will also moderate a special Capitol Hill Spotlight Session on Thursday, Nov. 19, where show goers can hear from staffers from Sen. Rob Portman and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen's offices as they discuss the variety of green building legislation under consideration.
