A group of carpet industry leaders and members of the Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI) recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with members of congress for the organization’s annual DC Fly-in.

According to Jenn Mendez, CRI's vice president of government relations, the visit to the nation's capitol serves as an opportunity to meet with members of congress and update them on the state of the carpet industry.

"The fly-in is a great opportunity for carpet industry leaders to connect with congressional leadership," Mendez added. "This year's event was one of the best we have ever had."

The group from CRI met with 21 representatives from Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina.
